Easy Apple Cider Margarita

This easy apple cider margarita combines tequila, fresh apple cider, Cointreau, and a cinnamon sugar rim for the ultimate fall cocktail. Perfect for Thanksgiving, holiday parties, girls nights, and cozy autumn entertaining, this festive margarita comes together in just minutes.

Ingredients

Single

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh apple cider
  • 1 ounce Cointreau
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
  • garnishes

For a pitcher (makes 6)

  • 12 ounces tequila
  • 6 ounces fresh apple cider
  • 6 ounces Cointreau
  • 6 ounces simple syrup
  • sugar
  • cinnamon
  • garnishes

Instructions

  1. On a small plate, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the rim.

  2. Moisten the rim of a cocktail glass with a little apple cider. Dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.

  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, apple cider, Cointreau, and simple syrup.

  4. Shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.

  5. Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the margarita into the glass.

  6. Garnish with an apple slice, cinnamon stick, star anise, or rosemary sprig before serving.

  7. Pitcher Version (6 Servings): Mix cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Moisten the rims of six glasses with apple cider and dip them into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice. Add the tequila, apple cider, Cointreau, and simple syrup to the pitcher. Stir until well combined and chilled. Fill the prepared glasses with ice and pour the margaritas into each glass then garnish.
