Easy Easter Pretzels Recipe (White Chocolate Chicks)

These Easter Pretzel Chicks are a sweet and salty holiday treat made with mini pretzels, yellow candy melts, and simple candy decorations. They are easy to make, adorable on an Easter dessert tray, and perfect for kids’ parties, spring gatherings, or a quick DIY holiday treat.

Course Dessert
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings 24 pretzels

Ingredients

  • 24 mini twist pretzels
  • 12 ounces yellow candy melts
  • 24 mini chocolate chips
  • 24 orange Reese’s Pieces candies

Instructions

  1. Add the yellow candy melts to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring well in between, until melted.

  2. Take the Reese’s Pieces and cut each one in half.

  3. Add the melted candy to a piping bag and snip off just the very tip.

  4. Place the pretzels on a parchment lined baking sheet or cutting board.

  5. Use the melted candy to flood the pretzels, smoothing out evenly. You can use a spoon upside down to flick a bit of the candy up to make a wing on your chicks (optional).

  6. Add a mini chocolate chip for the eye, half a Reese’s Pieces candy for the beak, and the other half for a foot.

  7. Repeat for all of the pretzels.

  8. Let the pretzels set for 30 minutes to an hour until the candy is fully solidified.

Recipe Notes

  • Line your baking sheet with parchment for easy cleanup
  • Work quickly so the decorations stick before the candy sets
  • Use a piping bag for cleaner chocolate coverage
  • Let pretzels set completely before moving them
  • Great for Easter dessert trays and kids’ parties
