Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 16 cookies

Ingredients

  • 16 Nutter Butter Cookies
  • 12 ounce bag of yellow candy melts
  • 32 candy eyes
  • ¼ cup orange Reese's Pieces
  • ¼ cup yellow Reese's Pieces
  • Orange cookie frosting

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Carefully cut the Reese’s Pieces in half using a sharp knife.

  2. Place the yellow candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring well between each round, until fully melted and smooth.

  3. Dip each Nutter Butter cookie into the melted candy and coat completely. Allow excess candy to drip off, then place the coated cookie on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. While the coating is still soft, add two candy eyes, half of an orange Reese’s Piece for the beak, two orange halves for the feet, and two yellow halves for the wings.

  5. Allow the coated cookies to set completely until the candy is firm. Use the orange cookie frosting to draw a small tuft of hair on top of each chick.

  6. Let the frosting set before serving.

Recipe Notes

  • Melt candy slowly for smooth, glossy coating.
  • Decorate immediately before the coating sets.
  • Use tweezers for precise candy placement.
  • Perfect for Easter baskets or party trays.
  • Store in an airtight container for best freshness.
