Prep Time 20 minutes
Total Time 4 hours 20 minutes
Servings 8 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 packet blue Jello (berry or blue raspberry)
  • 1 packet red Jello (strawberry or cherry)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • Boiling water
  • Red, white & blue sprinkles
  • Cool Whip, for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blue Jello using boiling water according to your package instructions. Pour into clear cups, filling about one third, and refrigerate until fully set.

  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over ½ cup cold milk and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

  3. Heat the remaining ½ cup milk until hot but not boiling, then stir it into the gelatin mixture until fully dissolved and smooth.

  4. Let the milk mixture cool slightly, then carefully pour it over the set blue layer. Refrigerate until firm.

  5. Prepare the red Jello according to package instructions and let it cool slightly so it is not hot.

  6. Gently pour the red Jello over the white layer and refrigerate until completely set.

  7. Before serving, top each cup with whipped cream or Cool Whip and finish with red, white, and blue sprinkles.

Recipe Notes
