Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¾ cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons chilies in adobo the sauce only
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken wings to an 8 quart slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, honey, adobo sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.

  3. Pour half of the sauce over the wings and spread it evenly to coat.

  4. Cook on high for 4 hours, until the wings are tender and falling apart.

  5. Transfer the cooked wings to a foil lined baking sheet. Baste with the remaining sauce and place under the broiler for 3 to 4 minutes, until caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.

  6. Sprinkle parsley on top if desired. Serve warm.

Recipe Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
  • Baste the wings again halfway through broiling for extra glaze.
  • Wings may finish slightly before 4 hours once tender.
  • You can cook on low for 6 hours instead of high.
  • You can skip broiling and baste the wings directly in the slow cooker if preferred.
