Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 2 hours 15 minutes
Servings 8 people

Ingredients

  • 6 chocolate bars white, milk, and/or dark chocolate
  • sprinkles red, green, and white
  • Milk chocolate M&M’s Or other candy like crushed candy canes
  • pretzels, broken optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Take the chocolate out of the wrappers and place them next to each other on the baking sheet. Alternate chocolate flavors to mix things up.

  3. Bake the chocolate bars for 5 minutes until they’re just starting to melt and the chocolate can spread into swirls.

  4. Make swirls in the chocolate with toothpicks or wooden skewers.

  5. While the chocolate is still warm and melty, sprinkle on the M&M’s, pretzels, candy, and sprinkles to your liking. Use as little or as much you’d like. Let the pan of bark sit on the counter until cooled.

  6. Place the entire pan in the fridge for 2 hours.

  7. At this point you can break the bark into pieces. Enjoy! The chocolate swirl Christmas bark will last for a week in the fridge.

Recipe Notes

We recommend reading the blog post to see all of the photos of each step and learning the tips and tricks to make perfect Christmas bark.

Lindt or Ghirardelli brand chocolates are recommended.

Keep a close eye on the melting chocolate, do not over melt it or you’ll have a big melted mess. Likewise, burning it will make it hard and not able to swirl.
