  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and red bell pepper until the meat is browned and fully cooked. Drain off any excess grease.

  2. Transfer the cooked beef mixture to the slow cooker.

  3. Add the sweet chili sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, allowing the flavors to blend and the sauce to thicken slightly.

  5. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto hamburger buns and serve warm.

Recipe Notes

  • Brown beef first for best flavor
  • Toast buns for better texture
  • Let mixture rest to thicken
  • Great for parties or meal prep
  • Freeze leftovers for later
