Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup double cream
  • cup confectioners sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • A few drops green gel food coloring
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips or finely chopped chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole milk, double cream, confectioners sugar, peppermint extract, and green gel food coloring until the sugar has fully dissolved.

  2. Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container and secure the lid.

  3. Freeze for 24 hours on a completely level surface.

  4. Once frozen, remove the lid and place the pint into the Ninja Creami machine.

  5. Run the Ice Cream function.

  6. When the cycle finishes, create a small well down the center of the ice cream and add the 1–2 tablespoons milk and the chocolate chips.

  7. Run the Mix-In cycle to evenly distribute the chocolate throughout.

  8. Scoop and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

  • Soften the ice cream by letting it sit for a few minutes before scooping
  • Use mini chocolate chips for the best mix-in texture
  • Add a splash of milk before a re-spin if it turns crumbly
  • Chill your serving bowls for an extra smooth melt
  • Add peppermint candy pieces for a holiday version
  • Freeze in the pint with the lid on for up to 1 week.
  • If the texture becomes icy, re-spin with 1–2 tablespoons milk.
