I've always loved mint chocolate chip, so making a homemade version that spins into the perfect soft and creamy texture is a total win. And the peppermint flavor with the chocolate chips feels extra refreshing, especially when you want a dessert that's simple but hits every craving.

You'll love this one because the prep is quick, the cleanup is easy, and the Creami does all the work. It's beginner friendly, cozy, and turns out delicious every time.

Things to Know Before Making Mint Chocolate Chip Ninja Creami Ice Cream

  • Mix the sugar into the liquids completely so the base freezes smoothly
  • Peppermint extract gives the best flavor and is stronger than regular mint
  • Freeze the pint on a level surface so it blends evenly
  • Add chocolate chips only after the first spin so they don't sink or freeze too hard

Mint chocolate chip has always been one of my go to flavors, and the Creami version tastes even fresher thanks to the peppermint.

How to Make Mint Chocolate Chip Ninja Creami Ice Cream

Step 1: Whisk together the whole milk, double cream, confectioners sugar, peppermint extract, and green gel food coloring until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Step 2: Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container, secure the lid, and freeze for 24 hours on a completely flat surface so it freezes evenly.

Step 3: Remove the lid and place the pint into the Ninja Creami machine. Run the Ice Cream function until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Once the cycle finishes, create a small well down the center and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk along with the chocolate chips. Run the Mix-In cycle so the chocolate becomes evenly distributed.

Step 5: Serve immediately for soft serve texture or return to the freezer for a firmer scoop.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Swap chocolate chips for chopped dark chocolate
  • Add crushed peppermint candies for a holiday twist
  • Mix in mini marshmallows for a mint hot chocolate vibe
  • Add cocoa powder to the base for a chocolate mint version

What to Serve with Mint Chocolate Chip Ninja Creami Ice Cream

This ice cream is amazing on its own, but you can also scoop it over brownies, chocolate cookies, or pair it with a warm chocolate mug cake. It also works perfectly in waffle cones or waffle bowls if you want a nostalgic treat.

Storage and Freezing

Store leftovers in the Creami pint with the lid on for up to one week. If the ice cream becomes too firm, let it rest at room temperature for a few minutes or re-spin with a splash of milk.
