September is my favorite month and fall is my favorite season. When I think of fall, what instantly comes to mind is wanting to create a comfy cozy home that includes lots of pillows, warm blankets, candles and amazing fall scents. Here’s a list of my 10 favorite ways to add natural and easy scents to my home.
While I love scented candles, I prefer to use DIY methods to scent my home than relying on artificial scents. You’ll actually find that so many of these ideas cost LESS than buying store purchased items and multiple ideas are just from items already in your home or in your yard.

Making your own simmer pots is honestly such a great way to use up extra herbs or fruit you have in the fridge and of course don’t forget to get inspired by the greenery outside in your yard. Just make sure to turn off your pot before leaving the house and keep an eye on your water level.

Either pears, pumpkins, gourds or apples would work well for this project. It would also be adorable to spell out something short and simple like hello, fall, your name, 2017, etc.
