Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it’s time to start planning your Friendsgiving with the gal pals! Here’s a great list of 15 Friendsgiving decor ideas that’ll make this year’s event the best.
Friendsgiving Ideas
The first Friendsgiving I hosted was a ball! It was one of the first gatherings I hosted with my roommates, we had so much fun. Everyone brought their own dish, we displayed everything in the kitchen, had music going, set up tables and chairs in the living area because that’s where we had room, lit candles, and got to feasting!
I had no idea how much food was coming, as everyone brought their own dish to contribute and we FILLED UPPPP the kitchen. It was amazing. Naturally, I was the one in charge of Friendsgiving decor ideas, so you can imagine I went all out. Lights were hung everywhere (literally everywhere), I lit every candle we owned and had some spread along the tables. I wanted the whole look, ok?
We had a cute tablecloth (probably was a tapestry) and made use of all the chairs and couch seating we had. I have to say, decorating for gatherings with friends and having people over in general is seriously SO fun to get creative with, and to realize how much it’ll make you want to host more events. That’s all I want to do now is host more events! Even with the limited space we had, having all our people together, lots of yummy food, and the fun Friendsgiving decor ideas, it made for a perfect Friendsgiving!
Friendsgiving Party Planning Tips
Soooo how does one even start planning for the absolute best Friendsgiving? Because you want to make sure everyone is having a good time and are prepared for literally anything, but want to make it cute.
The first best thing you can do is write yourself a list of everything you will need to make the party happen. I also recommend doing this a couple weeks before your Friendsgiving so you have time to plan and won’t forget anything! Whether you’re wanting to keep Friendsgiving simple or be completely “extra” with it, it’s really helpful to have a list to refer to and brainstorm.
Even sitting down with your gals if you’re hosting with a few people, to have everyone’s ideas down makes the difference! Below is a suggested list of Friendsgiving party planning tips and what to have ready that will help you to host the most fun, clever and easy Friendsgiving!
- Tables and chairs to sit & eat (even if it’s in your living room)
- Champagne, a FESTIVE PUNCH (more than you think)
- A Facebook event so everyone can see the dish each person is bringing/who’s going
- Lights and candles- alotta them!
- Tablecloth
- Enough plates, cups, and silverware
- GOOD TUNES
- Fun props for those photos you know you’ll take
- An activity for guests
- Room in your fridge for left-overs
- A good amount of space for everyone to feel comfortable/have a good time
