I think I’ve always secretly been into food bars. I may not be the cook, but I love assembling food and drinks in an appetizing and aesthetically pleasing way that creates a fun experience (think I’ll add that skill to my resume). The last two weekends my brother and I were in charge of dinner for the fam so we had a charcuterie night and made fun cocktails! Even just making a charcuterie board, which can easily be turned into a charcuterie bar with additional food sides, is so simple and fun. I didn’t even realize I loved assembling food until I made my first charcuterie board and it was an easy, exciting thing to create with my brother- win win! Our parents were impressed with a dinner of cheese and meat, woot woot!
There’s been multiple other get-togethers with sports teams, friends, and families where my family has had a food bar and it was the hit of the party. I don’t have photos because it was way back in my high school cheerleading days, but before home games, the cheer team would host dinner at different people’s houses. The time it was hosted at my house my mom put together a fondue food bar and let me tell you…. it was amazing!!! The perfect thing to get everyone together and having a good time. We also set up a taco bar for my brother’s graduation party, that was a blast as well! I see ideas like these more and more with friends and family; food bar ideas for parties have become a great solution and form of entertainment for everyone of all ages!
Here are my brothers and my attempt at our first charcuterie bar (you also would’ve seen on my Instagram story)!
