Okay girlies, I'm calling it: these Christmas dirty soda recipes are the cutest way to turn a can of Sprite into a holiday drink. Each one is Sprite, a splash of syrup or juice and vanilla creamer over pebble ice, so you get that creamy, fizzy, Swig-style vibe at home in about 2 minutes.
I've got 10 holiday dirty soda ideas for you, from Sugar Cookie and White Chocolate Mint to a bright green Grinch. They all use the same easy base recipe, so once you make one, you can make them all. My move? A dirty soda bar at your Christmas party so everyone can mix their own. Total crowd pleaser.

I'm obsessed with dirty sodas and have many on my website. I've been trying to cut back on weekend boozy drinks and instead swap my beverage for a dirty soda or mocktail. Any chance I have to turn a holiday into a dirty soda drink, I'm all for it!
Things to Know Before Making Christmas Dirty Sodas
- Use a 16 oz cup. Fill it about ¾ with ice so there's room for the soda and creamer.
- Pebble or crushed ice is the move. It's what Swig and Sonic use, and it keeps every sip cold. Regular cubes work too.
- Pour the creamer last and slowly. That's how you get the pretty swirl on top. Stir right before you drink.
- Serve them right away. Dirty sodas lose their fizz fast, so mix them when you're ready to sip.
- These are on the sweet side. Think Swig or Sonic. The Substitutions section below has easy ways to dial it back.
- You don't need a cabinet full of syrups. Vanilla syrup goes in 8 of the 10, and gingerbread or white chocolate are the only other bottle you need.

Ingredients You'll Need
- Sprite - one 12 oz can makes one drink with a little left over. Sprite Zero works if you want less sugar, and 7UP or Starry are easy swaps.
- Vanilla syrup - Torani Vanilla is at most grocery stores, Target and Walmart. One bottle makes a ton of drinks. Gingerbread syrup is the only other one you need, and the fancier holiday flavors are on Amazon if you want to splurge.
- Vanilla creamer - Chobani Vanilla is my go-to, but any vanilla creamer or store brand works. Half & half is fine for a less sweet drink, except in the juice flavors.
- Flavor extras - almond and peppermint extract, ground cinnamon, a lime, cranberry juice, orange juice, POM pomegranate juice, a jar of maraschino cherries, coconut milk, marshmallow fluff and green food coloring. You probably have some of these already.
- Ice - pebble ice if you can find it, crushed ice from the fridge, or regular cubes.

How to Make a Christmas Dirty Soda (Base Recipe)
1. Add the ice. Fill a 16 oz cup about ¾ full.
2. Add the flavor. Pour 1 tablespoon of syrup (or the juice for your flavor) over the ice.
3. Pour in the Sprite. Add 10 oz of Sprite slowly so it doesn't fizz over.
4. Top with creamer. Slowly pour 3 tablespoons of creamer over the top and let it swirl. Add your garnish, stir and enjoy.
10 Christmas Dirty Soda Recipes
Each one uses the base recipe: a 16 oz cup of ice, 10 oz Sprite and 3 tablespoon vanilla creamer, plus the flavor listed. Want to go extra festive? Try the swap under each one. Adding holiday sprinkles to any flavor is always recommended.
1. Sugar Cookie Dirty Soda

It tastes like a frosted sugar cookie in soda form. So cute with the sprinkles.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup + 1 drop almond extract
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: whipped cream and red and green sprinkles. Why not sprinkle crushed store-bought sugar cookies on top?
Extra festive: swap the vanilla and almond for Jordan's Skinny Mixes Sugar Cookie syrup, or use International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie creamer. Pick one, not both.
2. White Chocolate Mint

Creamy white chocolate with a cool hit of mint. It tastes like peppermint bark in a cup.
- 1 tablespoon Torani White Chocolate syrup + 1 drop peppermint extract
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: crushed candy cane rim and white chocolate shavings
Extra festive: use International Delight White Chocolate Peppermint Bark creamer and skip the extract.
3. Gingerbread Dirty Soda

Warm gingerbread spice with fizzy Sprite. It's giving gingerbread latte, but cold. Add a store-bought gingerbread mug hugger (I think Trader Joe's sold them last year) or make your own.
- 1 tablespoon Torani or Monin Gingerbread syrup
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: whipped cream, a pinch of cinnamon and a mini gingerbread cookie
Extra festive: use Trader Joe's Non-Dairy Oat Creamer Gingerbread and cut the syrup to 2 tsp.
4. Cranberry Orange Dirty Soda

Tart cranberry and bright orange make this one taste like Christmas morning. No syrup needed.
- 2 tablespoon Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail + 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 9 oz Sprite (a little less, to make room for the juice)
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: fresh cranberries or sugared cranberries (there's tutorials on TikTok), plus an orange slice
Use creamer here, not half & half. Juice can make half & half curdle a little.
5. Grinch Dirty Soda

Vanilla lime with one little red heart on top.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup + 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- 1 drop green food coloring
- Garnish: green sugar rim and one maraschino cherry or a red heart sprinkle
Extra festive: use Torani Green Apple syrup instead of the vanilla and lime.
6. White Christmas Dirty Soda

Vanilla and coconut make this one snowy and creamy.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup
- 3 tablespoon coconut creamer or canned coconut milk (shake the can first)
- Garnish: shredded coconut, sugared cranberries and a rosemary sprig
Extra festive: use Torani White Chocolate syrup instead of vanilla.
7. Pomegranate Lime Dirty Soda

Sweet-tart pomegranate with a squeeze of lime. I'm obsessed with that deep red color.
- 2 tablespoon POM Wonderful pomegranate juice + 2 teaspoon Torani Vanilla syrup + 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 9 oz Sprite
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: a lime wedge, plus pomegranate seeds if you have them
8. Santa's Cherry Vanilla Dirty Soda

A classic cherry vanilla, but make it Christmas. The cherry flavor comes straight from the jar of maraschino cherries.
- 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice from the jar + 1 teaspoon Torani Vanilla syrup
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: maraschino cherries, holiday sprinkles, and whipped cream
9. Snickerdoodle Dirty Soda

Cinnamon and vanilla with a cinnamon sugar rim, just like the cookie.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer with a pinch of ground cinnamon stirred in
- Garnish: cinnamon sugar rim, top with a little whipped cream and snickerdoodle cookie crumbles. An alternative flavor would be crushed biscoff cookies.
Extra festive: add 1 teaspoon Torani Cinnamon syrup instead of the ground cinnamon.
10. Toasted Marshmallow Dirty Soda

Vanilla soda topped with a fluffy marshmallow cream. It tastes like a cream soda.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup
- Marshmallow cream instead of creamer: whip 2 tablespoon heavy cream with 1 tablespoon marshmallow fluff until thick
- Garnish: mini marshmallows (torch them if you're feeling fancy), festive sprinkles
Extra festive: use Torani or Monin Toasted Marshmallow syrup instead of vanilla.
11. Candy Cane Dirty Soda

Cool peppermint and vanilla cream with a crushed candy cane rim.
- 1 tablespoon Torani Vanilla syrup + 1 drop peppermint extract
- 3 tablespoon Chobani Vanilla creamer
- Garnish: crushed candy cane rim and a mini candy cane
Peppermint extract is strong, so 1 drop is plenty. Extra festive: use International Delight White Chocolate Peppermint Bark creamer.
Substitutions and Variations
- Make it less sweet. Use 2 teaspoons of syrup instead of 1 tablespoon, or swap the creamer for half & half (except in the juice flavors). The syrup still carries the flavor.
- Make it way less sweet. Use Sprite Zero and a sugar-free syrup. Torani, Monin and Jordan's Skinny Mixes all make sugar-free versions of lots of flavors.
- Make it sweeter. Add up to ½ tablespoon more syrup, but taste first. Vanilla creamer is already sweet.
- Too sweet after you mix it? Add a splash more Sprite or a squeeze of lime.
- Make it creamier, not sweeter. Use heavy cream or half & half instead of more creamer.
- Swap the soda. Dr Pepper is so good with the Gingerbread, Cherry Vanilla and Toasted Marshmallow flavors.
- Go extra festive. Holiday creamers like International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie or Trader Joe's Gingerbread Oat Creamer are fun, but they're only in stores for a few months. Use a flavored creamer or a flavored syrup, not both, or it gets really sweet.
- Dairy-free. Use coconut creamer or oat creamer.
What to Serve With Christmas Dirty Sodas
These are so fun for a Christmas movie night, a cookie decorating party or a Friendsmas. Set out cups of ice, a few cans of Sprite, vanilla and gingerbread syrup, vanilla creamer, the juices and a tray of garnishes (sprinkles, cherries, candy canes, whipped cream) and let everyone build their own. Serve them with Christmas cookies, a snack board or popcorn.

Storage and Make Ahead
Dirty sodas are best right after you make them, because the soda goes flat. You can't make them ahead, but you can prep for a party: rim the cups, cut the garnishes and set out the syrups and creamers an hour or two early. Keep the creamers and Sprite in the fridge until it's time to pour.

FAQs
What is a dirty soda?
A dirty soda is soda mixed with flavored syrup and a splash of cream or creamer. It got popular from Swig, a drive-thru soda shop in Utah, and now it's everywhere.
What's the best soda for Christmas dirty sodas?
Sprite is the most versatile because its lemon-lime flavor works with cookie, mint, fruit and cream flavors. It also keeps the colors bright (hello, red and green). Dr Pepper is great with the warmer flavors like gingerbread and cherry vanilla.
Can I make dirty sodas without coffee creamer?
Yes! Half & half, heavy cream or coconut cream all work. Half & half is less sweet than flavored creamer.
Do I need special holiday syrups?
Nope! Most of these use one bottle of vanilla syrup plus things like extracts, juice and maraschino cherry juice. Gingerbread syrup is the only other bottle. Holiday syrups like Sugar Cookie are fun upgrades, and they're easiest to find on Amazon.
Do Christmas dirty sodas have alcohol?
No, these are all non-alcoholic, so everyone can have one.
