It’s the shiny garland for me. It’s the glitter in my hair and all over my outfit for me. It’s the endless pouring of champagne for me. Can you tell I love New Years’? Maybe a little. Really I just love any reason to dress up, dress up my house and host a party! This is kind of funny because I’ve never hosted anything on New Years, but rather take photos at my house and go to celebrate at a friend’s place. But also this year is different! This year is a COVID New Years, YAYYaaayyyyyy….. that just means there’s some serious planning to be done AT HOME. That’s right it might just be my family and I, but you know I’m still dressing up and making everyone do it with me. Also plan to make some real fancy drinks, no pandemic stops me.
As for years past, I absolutely love New Years and always look forward to it. A time to celebrate with my closest friends/roommates and bring in the new year with the most glam! All of my NYE’s have been a little different. My favorite was to two years ago, 2018 when I had my first New Years with the roommates who have become my best friends today. Not only spending the holiday with the ones you live with, but also your closest friends, is a game-changer. We bought special NYE hats and wore them around all night, had on our fanciest clothes, and drank a lot of champagne. Can you really ask for more?

I had a lot of people ask where I got my dress I wore last year that I still love so much- it was literally from a consignment store, no joke. I’ve honestly seen some of the prettiest, most perfect NYE styled dresses at consignment stores and they’re so cheap! So yeah, do yourself a favor. Also glitter just makes everything better.
