Christmas Decor for Apartments
Nothing hits Christmas like your college years and best gals! This had to be one of my favorite Christmas times because it was the first year I finally got to decorate my own apartment! I tell you, it is so much having roommates to decorate with or friends for that matter. There were so many memories that went into this Christmas and college apartment, we probably should’ve made it Christmas card worthy.
College or small apartment living is different than Christmas at home, you have to keep things a lot simpler! But that doesn’t mean you can’t still get creative and have fun with it. I was tired of not having some kind of Christmas tree to celebrate with so I bought a mini tree ( actually colored blue) and came with the cutest mini ornaments, it was perfect (still have it lol)! For the full look and because us Cali college gals loved our holiday photos, I had a colored string of lights that we put up in signature of our adorable apartment! Lights make the difference with everything and really set the vibe for the room. Thank you home away from home Christmas!

Holiday Bar Cart
Idea by Kristin Leah
This is genius and a perfect way to decorate for a small apartment! If you already have a bar cart this will be easy. Add any little Christmas decor you have that will style it up! I love the idea of strung garland (easily can DIY) and cute candles or little houses on the bottom of the cart. The sign and little tree just top it off.
Decorate the Doorways
Idea by Virginia
One of the simplest and festive ways to welcoming Christmas and making anyone feel like they’re walking into Christmas! Hang a fun garland around your doorway or up a wall, either inside or outside. If you have a cute Christmas sign or anything else to hang with it, put it up there!!
Christmas Bedroom
Idea by Just My Thoughts
The bedroom is a great way to your small apartment Christmas decorating and is one of the best places I’d say to make your home feel holiday ready. Adding some lights, if you have room for a tree, and cozy bedding of course. By the holidays I’m usually looking for ways to make my room feel more like Christmas, just like Betty Lou Who!
Festive Coffee Tables
Idea by Steph Jolly
Add some fun Christmas scents and candles as a center piece to your coffee table. I like how everything displayed here is on a tray, which super cute and easy to remove from the table for when you need to use it! Great small apartment Christmas decor!
Snowflakes from the Ceiling

Make it snow indoors this year with some classic DIY snowflakes that can be hung in the hallway. These create such a merry feel in your home and are an easy holiday project!
Small Space Tree

So you still need a Christmas tree and don’t have room for one? Actually, you do! Pick a pant out that can easily go in a vase and just add decor! “With slightly larger branches, you can even add ornaments.”
Kitchen Wreath Decor

“You need your kitchen counter space clear to craft holiday dishes and cocktails. Besides, no one gives the cabinets enough attention. Tie ribbon to small wreaths or ornaments, and secure them to the back of your cabinets for a festive touch that won’t interfere with your day-to-day life.”
Santa Hats Silverware Holders

If this doesn’t bring holiday joy to the table this Christmas, I don’t know what will! Mini Santa hats for your silverware, this is the cutest holiday table idea I’ve seen yet. These are great because you can reuse them too! If you don’t have a ton of Christmas decor for your small apartment, well at least the table can be decorated!
Kitchen Window Bling

Christmas time brings the bling and a great spot for hanging your extra lights or decor you don’t know where to put in a small space is above your sink! Not going to lie this was one of my favorite Christmas decor spots, and as long as the lights aren’t in the way of opening cupboards, it will be a homey feel for everyone!
Ho Ho Ho Mugs

If you’re like me and have a good few Christmas mugs, now is the time to display those and make a little cocoa station out of them! This is a great idea for keeping all your holiday mugs together but in a festive way.
Outdoor Lights

There’s just something about sitting outside with Christmas lights around you. Bring Christmas outside with a string of lights! Even for a small balcony, this looks beautiful and something you and others (or your pup) can enjoy. I would do this all the time, it was one of my favorite things to come home and instantly turn on my lights outside!
Small Space Kitchen

If you have anything like this small kitchen, let this be your small apartment Christmas decorating inspo! Anything from hanging decor off the lights, maybe a table runner to go across the counter, some cute Christmas hand towels, or maybe you can fit a little Christmas tree!
Shimmer and Shine Mirror

“There is no such thing as too much shimmer and shine when decorating for the holidays. Using extra ornaments to sprinkle around your tray or placing them inside a vase is a great way to add a hint of glitter.” Whether it be the first thing entering your home or in a little corner, a mirror is a fun addition and can be embellished with Christmas beads and decor!
Funny Bathroom Sign

This has to be my favorite new bathroom sign. Some good Christmas humor is always appreciated during the holiday season and takes up little space for your small apartment Christmas decorating!
Small Living Room Decor

Christmas is all about being cozy and keeping your home that way too. This has got to be one of the coziest, beautiful, small living rooms there is. In my eyes at least. This is a very small space but not all decor needs to be Christmas related! The way the little tree, huge knit blankets, garland, and plants are mixed makes for a cozy Christmas vibe. Perfect for a small apartment Christmas decor feel.
Hopefully, your Christmas decorating isn’t as awkward as the little tree behind us. Happy holidays!!!
