Cozy Bedroom #3: Decorate with Tapestries
Madi is obsessed with tapestries, they’re inexpensive, make it easy to cover an entire bare wall, and easy to remove if you hang them with removable command hooks. She already owns 3 and has 4 more she wants to buy!

Cozy Bedroom #4: Hang Lights
Whether you hang them around the room or draped from the ceiling, Christmas lights add instant coziness on a budget. Madi hung Christmas lights around our living room and family room 2 years ago in December, I’ve never taken them down! She used white strands, which makes it easy to blend with the ceiling, and I turn them on year-round on cold and cloudy days.

Hello! Are you able to find out where the sconces came from in the photo with the “stay awhile” print?? Name and style # would be great too! I cannot find anything similar with regard to size and the lamp shade. Thank you!
JenandMadi says
Hello Ann! It might be the Pottery Barn Chelsea Swing Arm Sconce with White Shade in Bronze. If it isn’t the exact one, they at least look very similar! 🙂

Hi Tanya! That isn’t a photo from my room so I’m not sure where that exact hammock chair is from. We do have some similar items linked in the post that are still in stock! Jen

Thanks for the great ideas. I especially liked the screen on the wall. By the way, if you want to neatly arrange clothes in the drawers in bedroom, then you can use drawer dividers: https://royalcraftwood.com/collections/drawer-dividers

I recently redecorated my home and my bedroom is so ME: romantic, whimsical and elegant: silk velvet and linen bedding, yummy pillows, watercolored large floral wallpaper with lace floral ceiling border ( reminds me of my Tias), two different chairs by fireplace with a small table and coffee pot for my first cup , new Saatva RX mattress with led highlight, massage modes; I like to switch out quilts and pillows as I want…so FUN!
Irene Madrid says
I just rewallpapered my bed/bath in a cream paper with watercolor huge magnolias in pinks, greens and yellows. The border is lace and roses. I have crystal chandeliers , table lamps in soft lighting, two big chips by the fireplace with a gorgeous table that is my coffee station. One chair is contemporary; the other is a Spanish antique …both in velvet w/ yummy throws. My bed uses an oversized linen sheet with TWO pure silk quilts. A pink and lace Matisse blanket and Pottery Barn quilt ( I rotate between three kinds of quilts), a lavender oversized velvet throw. Needless to say, I sleep well. My new mattress from Saavta has LED nightlight, 3 modes of massage, and can be raised head or feet ( which makes changing the sheets so easy). I have mounds of pillows as well. I don’t mind the time it takes to make my bed every day. It is a privilege!
