How many times have you heard the term "mind-blowing" about a product and you doubted whether or not it really lived up to the hype. Yep, we've been there too many times!

I've used the term mind-blowing few and far between in my life, and the only cleaning product I've ever come across that truly lives up to this term are Magic Erasers. Like seriously!

We discovered the power of Magic Erasers a couple years ago when I was doing research on what really removes yucky soap scum. The one cleaning product that came up time and time again to solve the soap scum problem we all want to get rid of but doesn't want to leave us behind, is.... you got it, Magic Erasers.

How Do Magic Erasers Work?

Magic Erasers are made of a melamine foam that when the microstructure gets wet, the foam hardens and the foam acts like a fine sand-paper on stains. It scrubs off the hard to clean things in life that regular cleaners just can't do.

All it takes is getting the Magic eraser sponge wet and they're ready to use, no extra cleaner is needed!

The downside of Magic Erasers

We use these ourselves and here are two negatives we've about Magic Erasers.

  • The sponges break down and don't last very long. We can get a few uses out of each sponge before we need to use a new one. This is why we buy them in bulk from Amazon!
  • We try hard to be as environmentally friendly as possible. There's just some tasks in life where the green route doesn't always work. It's in those cases, where we pull out the Magic Eraser to help us out.

Hi Lee! Thank you for your input! I'm under contract with Mediavine and for the first 90 days they place all ads and I can't change them. Reader experience is very important to me and I'll be asking them to reduce ads on this post or I'll be reducing ads after my 90 days complete :). I'm not sure why some posts have a couple and others like this one seem to have tons!

The only thing I find with using the magic erasers is they leave a film on any walls or surfaces that I use them on. So I have to wash that off.
