How to Make Aperol Spritz Jello Shots

Step 1: Cut the oranges

slice an orange in half and spoon out the orange pulp until you have just the peel. Do the same for both halves and the rest of the oranges. Reserve the orange shells and be careful not break them. Place the shells in a separate container.

Step 2: Make the orange juice

squeeze or press orange pulp in a bowl until you have 1 cup of OJ. Throw away the pulp.

Step 3: Heat juice and mix with alc

Put the juice in a saucepan and simmer. Add the Jello mix to a bowl and stir in the warm juice. Stir until gelatin has dissolved. Add Aperol and Prosecco.

Step 2: Pour mix into oranges & chill

Carefully pour mixture into the orange shell halves, filling to the top as much as possible. Let sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.

Step 3: Slice the Jello shells

Once firm, take out and slice each half into 4 slices (or 2 if easier). Now you have little orange Jello slice shots! Bon appetite!

Substitutions and Variations

โ€ข Swap prosecco: Use champagne or sparkling wine instead
โ€ข Make them sweeter: Add a little simple syrup or orange soda
โ€ข Try blood orange: Adds a deeper citrus flavor and pretty color
โ€ข Make mini versions: Use smaller molds for bite-sized party shots

What to Serve with Aperol Spritz Jello Shots

These pair perfectly with light appetizers, charcuterie boards, fruit trays, or cute summer desserts. They also fit right in with pool party snacks and brunch cocktail spreads.
