This pink and red Valentine's fruit salad is my go-to when I want something that feels festive and romantic but still fresh and simple. It's light, juicy, and pretty without trying too hard, which is exactly what I want on a Valentine's or Galentine's table.

The strawberry hearts do all the work here. They instantly make this feel special, while the rest of the fruit keeps it easy and balanced. No neon colors, no heavy dressing, just real fruit with a light citrus drizzle.

This one works for brunch, breakfast, or as a pretty side at a party.

If you love simple fruit salads, you'll also want to try my green fruit salad and leprechaun fruit salad for St Patricks Day.

Ingredients You'll Need

  • Strawberries, cut into heart shapes
  • Raspberries
  • Red grapes
  • Pineapple, cut small - if you have a mini heart cutter you add a few pineapple hearts too (totally optional!)
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Fresh orange juice
  • Honey, optional - use between 1 teaspoon for a light touch up to 1 Tbsp+ for more a dessert like salad
  • Optional garnish. Extra strawberry hearts for the top, shredded coconut, or chopped mint

How to Make Strawberry Hearts

  1. Hull the strawberries.
  2. Slice them in half lengthwise.
  3. Cut a small V shape at the top of each half to form a heart.

They do not need to be perfect. Slightly imperfect hearts actually look more natural and cute. We used these on our easy Valentines charcuterie board too.

How to Make a Valentines Fruit Salad

  1. Add the strawberry hearts, raspberries, grapes, and pineapple to a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, orange juice, and honey if using.
  3. Drizzle the citrus mixture over the fruit and gently toss.
  4. Taste and stop there. This salad should taste fresh, not overly sweet.
  5. Top with a few extra strawberry hearts right before serving.

I usually chill it for about 15 to 20 minutes so it's nice and cold but still fresh. Enjoy! Best served the day of.
